This privacy policy explains how we use, handle and process the data we collect from you when you use our Platform.

1. Definition

(a) SERVICE means the www.myhygge.io website and web applications operated by Hygge FZ-LLC.

(b) PERSONAL DATA means data about a natural or legal person who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).

(c) USAGE DATA is data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

(d) COOKIES are small files stored on your device (computer or mobile device).

(e) DATA CONTROLLER means a natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal data are, or are to be, processed. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Data Controller of your data.
(f) DATA PROCESSORS (OR SERVICE PROVIDERS) means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller. We may use the services of various Service Providers in order to process your data more effectively.

(g) DATA SUBJECT is any natural or legal person who is the subject of Personal Data.

(h) THE USER is the individual using our Service. The User corresponds to the Data Subject, who is the subject of Personal Data.

2. What personal data do we collect

We collect and process the following data:

(i) your identity data including trade name and incorporation documents;

(j) identity data of your employees or representatives using the Platform including first name, last name, email ID, or similar identifier, title, date of birth, gender, ethnicity, medical, and health history data;

(k) contact data of you and your individual users including office address, email address, and telephone numbers;

(l) technical data includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting, and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this Platform;

(m) usage data includes information about how you use our Platform and services; and

(n) information you provide us, or that we may collect from you when you report a problem with our Platform;

(o) a record of correspondence in the event that you contact us;

(p) general, aggregated, demographic, and non-personal information to improve our Platform;

(q) any other information we consider necessary to enhance your experience on the Platform.

3. How we collect data

(a) We collect data and process data when you interact with us by filling in forms or by corresponding with us by phone, email, or otherwise. This includes personal data you provide when you:

(i) use our Services;
(ii) create an account on our Platform;
(iii) request marketing to be sent to you;
(iv) give us feedback to contact you;
(v) voluntarily complete a customer survey that accompanies a newsletter or provide feedback via email; or
(vi) seek information by calling our customer helplines.

(b) We may also use automated technologies which may collect information about your device, equipment, browsing action, and patterns.

We collect your data so that we can:

(a) provide services to you and manage your account;

(b) verify your identity and for user profiling (we do not carry out any profiling of your customers);

(c) improve our Services and deliver a better and more personalized service to you;

(d) notify you about changes to our Services;

(e) to use data analytics to increase the efficiency of the Platform experience and enhance user experience.

5. How we share your personal information

In addition to the specific situations discussed elsewhere in this privacy policy, we disclose your personal information in the following circumstances: (a) Service Providers: We share certain personal information with third parties that perform services to support our core business functions and internal operations including investigating fraudulent activity, conducting customer surveys, and providing customer service. (b) Legal Process: We may disclose personal information in response to court orders, government inquiries, or investigations, or to comply with relevant laws and regulations. We may also disclose information to establish, exercise, or protect the rights of our company, employees, agents, and affiliates; to defend against a legal claim; to protect the safety and security of our visitors; to detect and protect against fraud; and to take action regarding possible illegal activities or violations of our policies.

6. How we store and protect your data

(a) We use Microsoft Azure for storing, processing, and maintaining the storage of data (both data in rest and data in motion) provided by you. Our servers are located in the UAE and all data is stored, processed, and maintained in the UAE.

(b) We use AES 256 Encryption Standards for both data in rest and data in motion and cannot read any information uploaded by you on the Platform but only in the form of aggregated reports or results generated by the Platform based on information and inputs by you.

(c) We implement reasonable organizational, physical, and technical security measures to help guard your data from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no physical or electronic security system is impenetrable.

(d) Your information may be transferred, stored, processed, and used by our service providers in one or more countries outside your originating country. In case of transfer of personal data to computers/ servers located outside of the UAE, the storage and processing of personal data shall be governed by the provisions of the UK or EU GDPR as may apply. Your consent to this privacy policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data and your users’ data are treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy and no transfer of your personal data and that of your users will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your and your users’ data and other personal information.

(e) Personal information is also maintained and is accessible by authorized employees as necessary for the purposes described in this privacy policy.

(f) We store the following information as follows:

• for as long as they are required for users to log in;

• if you have consented to the processing, at most until you revoke your consent;

• if we need the data for the execution of a contract, at most for as long as the contractual relationship with you exists;

• if we use the data based on a legitimate interest, at most for as long as your interest in deletion or anonymization does not outweigh the data;

• insofar as statutory storage obligations exist, until the end of the storage periods;

• your basic account information, including your name, phone number, and email address;

• location information for different lengths of time-based on how precise it is and which services you use.

7. How long we store your information

(a) We will store your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes indicated in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise permitted or required by law to provide services to you.

(b) We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

8. How we protect your personal information

(a) Personal information is maintained on our servers or those of our service providers and is accessible by authorized employees as necessary for the purposes described in this privacy policy.

(b) We realize that you trust us to protect your personal information. We maintain reasonable and appropriate physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to help protect your personal information. While we attempt to protect your personal information in our possession, no method of transmission over the internet, or security system is perfect, and we cannot promise that information about you will remain secure in all circumstances.

9. Your data rights

(a) Download data: you can access and edit most of your basic account information right on the platform or you can send us an email at hello@myhygge.io. Because your privacy is important to us, we may ask you to verify your identity or provide additional information before we grant you access or update your personal information.

(b) Revoking permissions: if you authorize us to use your information, you can always change your mind and simply revoke your permission by changing the setting but bear in my doing that, the Platform may lose functionality.

(c) Deletion of your account on the Platform.

(d) Consistent with applicable law, you may exercise the rights described in this section. Please note that some of the rights may vary depending on your country of residence.

10. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will inform you via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, before the change becomes effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

11. What cookies are

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information. Our Company uses cookies in a range of ways to improve your experience on our Platform, including:

(b) understanding how you use our Platform

13. How to manage cookies

You can set your browser not to accept cookies, and the above Platform tells you how to remove cookies from your browser. However, in a few cases, some of our Platform features may not function as a result.
